課程概述

本課程旨在透過一系列的初階景觀設計習作(Landscape Design Studio),激發初學者對環境設計的興趣,課程實施方式強調舉例解說基本設計概念,利用設計習作促使同學們能從做中學習(Learning by doing),在習作演練中學習、體驗及認知地景的本質與基本的環境設計原則(design principle)、設計元素(design element)的掌握與運用,並透過簡易常見素材的應用,甚至實作(假如有機會的話),真正覺知景觀空間形塑改造的過程。

Landscape is integral to, and intertwined with, all aspects of human life. This course tries to inspire and encourage the personal interest and quest (especially focuses on the category to be incorporated with landscape, space and art) of the beginner approach to the designed environment, enable students to learn by doing, study the nature of landscape in the design process, and experience the operation of design elements and principles in the making of design work through passing a series of elementary design exercises (design studio).
The learning process of this course includes
1. Lecture on the basic concept and exemplified a few cases.
2. Discuss in groups, and presentation unofficially with pin-up picture, the assistant helps the classroom to do the practice.
3. Final comment (design review), in order to communication and cross comment among students, it should finish the design work by the requirement of the design practice before deadline. Students must abide by the regulations of design course and learn showing personal design work in professional performance. Students are required to finish the courses of “landscape drawing & basic design” before. Three topics of this design studio are:
1. Garden of colors.
2. Place-making at campus
3. The cultured landscape at a specific site.
 

課程目標
本課程目標歸納如下:
1. 培養和強化同學對於環境的敏感度及觀察能力。
2. 鼓勵創意思考,啟發並刺激同學的想像及創造能力。
3. 培養初等環境設計繪圖及溝通表現的技能。
4. 促使同學養成用眼觀察、用腦思考、用心體悟、用口表達、用手繪製的設計運作習慣。
The goal of this course is
1. Train and strengthen the sensibility for the designed and natural environment.
2. Encourage the idea and stimulate the creative imagination in design thinking and process.
3. Train the drawing skill、visual communication and graphic representation.
4. Impel students to form the design operation habits that observe with eyes , think deeply , realizing with mind , expressing with mouth, and drawing with hands more diligently.
 
課程要求
授課方式主要是兩部分:
1.課堂貼圖(pin-up)之分組討論,助教協助課堂設計繪圖及溝通表現技巧。
2.設計總評(Design Review)為正式之驗收評圖、成果展示應該符合習作題目要求(詳見習作說明上之規定),並模擬專業風采解說設計作品,和參加評圖對話。
本學期總計進行三個設計習作,習作題目之設計是延續景觀描繪及基本設計兩科目之學習心得及經驗,循序漸進引導同學們進入與熟悉專業的環境設計演練。
三、學期要求及考核:
1. 課業要求
(1) 準時按規定繳交三個設計習作成品,全程參加設計習作總評。
(2) 彙整編排設計習作成品,製作個人設計作品集(A Personal Portfolio)。
2. 學期考核
(1) 設計習作(60%)
(2) 平時上課(20%)
(3) 個人設計作品集(20%)
